I only served for 2 years in the Army back in the 50's, and my DD214 was destroyed in the Archives fire in the 70's, so I thought there was no way my military records could be traced. I served one tour in Hawaii and out-processed at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. I was skeptical at first, but based on the reviews I read about Touchstone, I decided to give them a try. The application process was easy. Several weeks went by and I had not heard anything, so I figured I had been duped. I waited a few more weeks without hearing anything, so I contacted Touchstone for an update. They replied promptly, telling me that my case was being worked. I thought to myself "Sure it is..." So many internet companies take advantage of elders like me, so I just thought I was being strung along. Then about a week later, low and behold, I received a download link for my Certificate of Military Service. A few days later, the original hard copy arrived in my mailbox. It had my dates of service and my US Army service number on it! I have since been approved for some very good financial assistance from the VA. This would not have been possible without the hard work of Touchstone. The process takes a while, so be patient. They have to scour the records and contact so many agencies that it won't happen overnight. Believe me, if they can produce military records for a guy that served for just a couple of years back in the 1950's, they'll be able to produce records for you! Thank you Touchstone!
